Screen Shot 2013-09-25 at 13.53.12

Among other Eastern European countries Czech Republic shows off an ever-growing community of entrepreneurs. Especially from their main startup hub Prague. Compared to Berlin, Paris or London Prague is relatively small, but there’s an astonishing pool of talented entrepreneurs and developers. Another city with some great entrepreneurial spirit in Czech Republic is Brno. It’s the second hot spot right behind Prague.

According to StartupYard about 250 startups evolve from there each year. Growing accelerators such as StartupYard and Wayra will help to produce even more. European Accelerators & Incubators seem to increasingly attract eastern European startups from Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. At the beginning of the year three very exciting Czech Startups have been awarded by “The Europas”: SocialBakers, NextStories & Intellitix. There are some very promising startup ideas evolving from Czech Republic.

The Ambassador of the Czech Ecosystem is Ladislav Martincik. He’s the CTO at Foundum and he has been a speaker at several innovative tech events in Czech Republic. Ladislav has a lot of experience with startups. He’s been working on his own projects and since 2010 he’s one of the major forces at Foundum. He’ll be approachable for the Czech Community. Please feel free to get in touch with him in case you have any questions.
